Vana Va Mhanee!! Luncheon 2026: A Day of Healing, Boundaries, and Sisterhood
May 10, 2026
On Saturday, 10 May 2026, the Solomon's Porch Worship Tabernacle in Giyani, Limpopo, came alive with purpose, praise, and powerful conversations as Rural Connect Network presented the inaugural Vana Va Mhanee!! — It's DM Time Luncheon. Under the theme "Healing Boundaries and Healthy Relationships," the event brought together women from across the region for a day of spiritual renewal, personal wellness, financial empowerment, and authentic sisterhood.
A Programme Rooted in Purpose
The day began at 10:00 AM with registration and a warm coffee welcome, setting the tone for what would become an unforgettable gathering. By 10:30 AM, MC Dumisani DD Mathebula took the stage to welcome guests and open the event in prayer, followed by a soul-stirring worship session led by Themba Nyathi.
At 11:10 AM, the visionary behind the movement, Wisani Shikwambani — affectionately known as Sesi Wisani and Founder of It's DM Time — shared the purpose for the day. Her words resonated deeply with every woman present: this was not just a luncheon, but a sacred space to unpack, heal, and rebuild.
Sessions That Transformed Mindsets
The morning sessions delivered practical wisdom across multiple dimensions of life:
- Building a Service Legacy — Nomfuntsu Sithole of Nomfutsu Multi Cleaning Services inspired attendees to build businesses that outlive them, rooted in excellence and service.
- The Vitality Boundary: The Science of Self-Care & Personal Wellness — Tiyani Maluleke from Saselamani Pharmacy unpacked the critical connection between boundaries and physical wellbeing, reminding every woman that self-care is not selfish — it is survival.
- Financial Intelligence & Growth — Ntsako Sibanda, Managing Director of Yinhla Capital, delivered a powerful session on building, protecting, and transferring wealth across generations with intention and purpose.
The interactive Q&A Session and the deeply personal Anonymous Box Session created safe spaces for vulnerability, allowing women to ask questions and share struggles without judgment.
The Keynote: Healing Boundaries & Healthy Relationships
The emotional peak of the day arrived at 13:25 PM when Sesi Wisani delivered her keynote address on Healing Boundaries & Healthy Relationships. With grace, authority, and raw authenticity, she spoke about the invisible wounds many women carry — the relationships that drained them, the boundaries they never learned to set, and the healing that begins when a woman decides her peace is non-negotiable.
"Healing is not a destination. It is a decision you make every single day to protect your energy, honour your worth, and choose relationships that reflect the love you have for yourself."
Luncheon, Networking & The Makoti Goodie Bags
From 13:55 PM, the formal programme gave way to a vibrant luncheon and networking session. Tables overflowed with conversation, laughter, and the kind of connection that only happens when women feel truly seen. The highlight for many was the distribution of the "Goodie Bag for the Makoti" — a thoughtful collection of gifts, resources, and affirmations designed to honour every woman present, whether bride, mother, sister, or friend.
Proudly Sponsored by Visionary Partners
The success of Vana Va Mhanee!! would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors:
- Black Distributors Trust — A formal trust established by Old Mutual in 2005 to empower black-owned independent financial advisory businesses through funding, mentorship, and business support.
- Rural Connect Network — The presenting partner and digital gateway connecting rural communities to business discovery, marketplace trading, and community media.
- Yinhla Capital — A premier multidisciplinary financial services firm dedicated to transforming lives through tailored wealth management, fiduciary services, and financial education.
A Movement, Not Just an Event
Vana Va Mhanee!! proved that when women gather with intention, transformation follows. The conversations started on 10 May 2026 will echo in the homes, businesses, and communities of every woman who attended. This was not merely a luncheon — it was the beginning of a movement.
