Justice Lebotsa: Empowering Farmers Through Technology and Purpose

Justice Lebotsa: Empowering Farmers Through Technology and Purpose

October 24, 2025

Justice Lebotsa

Founder of Warm Nest Enterprise | WFF Youth Representative | Agri-Tech Innovator

A Vision Rooted in Rural South Africa

Justice Lebotsa, a South African agritech innovator from the village of Ga-Moloi in the Sekhukhune District of Limpopo, has always been deeply connected to the land. Raised in a farming family, he saw firsthand the struggles and triumphs of smallholder farmers. Now based in Pretoria, Justice channels those early lessons into his company, Warm Nest Enterprise, an award-winning platform that empowers farmers through technology, training, and access to markets.

“My mission is to bridge the gap between technology and small-scale farming,” says Justice. “I want to help rural communities and youth thrive through sustainable agriculture.”

Growing Up with Curiosity and Purpose

As a child, Justice was curious, observant, and full of questions. He recalls always wanting to understand why some communities thrived while others struggled. His rural upbringing taught him resilience, the value of hard work, and a deep respect for the land.

“I was fascinated by how things worked,” he explains. “That curiosity shaped my passion for problem-solving and innovation.”

About Warm Nest Enterprise

Warm Nest Enterprise is a South African agri-tech company that provides digital platforms, storage solutions, logistics, and training for small-scale farmers. The enterprise focuses on helping farmers reduce post-harvest losses, access markets, and manage their produce more efficiently.

What sets Warm Nest apart is its community-first approach—solutions are co-created with farmers, ensuring that technology meets real-world agricultural challenges.

“We build with our users, not just for them,” Justice says. “That’s what makes our platform effective and trusted.”

Solving Real Challenges in Agriculture

The company addresses one of Africa’s biggest agricultural pain points: post-harvest losses. Many smallholder farmers produce quality crops but lack proper storage, logistics, or access to profitable markets. Warm Nest provides integrated solutions that help farmers store produce safely, manage supply chains, and connect directly with buyers.

By doing so, the company not only improves food security but also increases income and sustainability for rural farmers.

An Entrepreneur Driven by Impact

Justice isn’t just in business to make profits — he’s on a mission to create change.

Justice Lebotsa speaking
“I’m in business to be a catalyst,” he explains. “To help rural youth and small-scale farmers realize their potential and build communities that are more resilient and future-ready.”

Overcoming Challenges with Resilience

Starting Warm Nest Enterprise was far from easy. Justice faced limited funding, travel restrictions, and resource constraints, especially during the company’s early years.

He recalls being unable to attend the World Food Forum due to financial limitations, a setback that later became a defining moment in his journey.

“It taught me perseverance,” he reflects. “Sometimes, not getting what you want immediately prepares you for something bigger.”

Staying Connected to Farmers’ Needs

Justice spends much of his time listening to farmers—running pilot projects, gathering feedback, and collaborating with local youth. His hands-on approach ensures that every new solution remains relevant, practical, and empowering.

Vision for the Future

Over the next 3–5 years, Justice envisions Warm Nest Enterprise becoming a national leader in agri-tech for smallholders. His goals include establishing regional hubs, expanding partnerships, and building a network of young, tech-savvy farmers driving innovation in sustainable food systems.

Adapting and Innovating Through Adversity

The COVID-19 pandemic forced Justice and his team to pivot quickly. When physical farmer workshops became impossible, they transitioned to mobile learning and digital training platforms, allowing continued support for farmers across South Africa.
